Privacy Policy

lethora.chat is a workspace for saved AI conversations, reusable context, profile memory, model choice, and optional user-owned OpenAI API keys. For privacy questions or requests, contact lethorachat@gmail.com.

We collect account information needed to create and secure your account, including your name, email address, and authentication identifier from Clerk.

We store the content you create in the app, including conversations, messages, drafts, versions, folders, profiles, custom instructions, profile memory items, and related review or usage metadata.

If you save an OpenAI API key, we store an encrypted key record and settings for whether that key is enabled. The raw key is used server-side only when needed to send eligible OpenAI-model requests on your behalf.

We collect product and billing-related information such as product tier, token usage, subscription status, billing period, and quota enforcement metadata. Payment details and subscription management are handled by Clerk Billing and its payment processors.

We also collect technical information that is necessary to operate the service, such as session state, security logs, request metadata, error logs, and essential cookies or similar browser storage.

We use your information to authenticate users, provide the workspace, save and retrieve conversations, operate profile memory, route model requests, enforce plan limits, process billing state, prevent abuse, debug the service, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your saved conversations, profile memory, or user-owned OpenAI API keys to sell advertising.

When you send a message or use model-backed features, relevant prompt, conversation, profile, memory, and settings data may be sent to AI infrastructure providers so they can return a response. App-funded requests may be routed through Vercel AI Gateway and model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, or Meta, depending on the model you choose.

If you enable your own OpenAI API key for OpenAI models, eligible requests are sent using that key. Your use of OpenAI through your own key is also subject to OpenAI's terms, policies, billing, and data handling rules.

We share information with service providers that help operate the product, including Clerk for authentication, account management, and billing; Convex for backend data storage and realtime sync; Vercel and Vercel AI Gateway for hosting or AI routing; and AI model providers for model responses and background AI features.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the service, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or targeted advertising pixels.

lethora.chat uses cookies and similar browser storage that are needed for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences, and core product functionality. If we add analytics, advertising, or optional tracking technologies later, we will update this policy and provide any legally required controls.

We keep account and workspace information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Content deleted inside the app is removed from normal product views, but may remain in backend records until account deletion, cleanup, backup expiry, or another retention process applies.

When your Clerk account is deleted and the deletion webhook is received, lethora.chat deletes app-owned account records, folders, threads, versions, profiles, memory records, encrypted OpenAI API key records, usage events, usage periods, and entitlement records from Convex. Service providers may retain logs, billing records, backups, or abuse-monitoring records under their own policies or legal obligations.

You can update account information through Clerk-managed account settings where available. You can remove a stored OpenAI API key from the app settings. You can also request access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and rights to object to or limit some uses of personal information. We will honor legally required requests after verifying your identity.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including managed authentication, access controls, encrypted storage for user-owned OpenAI API keys, and provider-level security controls. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

lethora.chat is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted at this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
